Your car’s cambelt (also called a timing belt) is essential for keeping your engine working properly; it’s what keeps your crankshaft and camshaft in sync. Like all parts of your car, it’s subject to wear and tear, and eventually, it can snap, sometimes causing engine failure. That would be dangerous to you and can be expensive to fix.
When should I get my cambelt replaced?
Most manufacturers recommend you get a new cambelt fitted after about 40,000 years or 4 years, though this will vary.
